April 3rd was our opening ceremony for the second annual Earth Day Exhibit here at the Benque House of Culture. It was also a sort of parent's night for the Amigos del Ambiente group members. We had a great turnout of kids, parents, and community members and we pulled together a fabulous exhibit!! It was a lot of work, but well worth it. Following a brief ceremony - during which time I did some public speaking, decently - we then watched the movie: Earth, by DisneyNature, a film released on Earth Day in 2009. Outdoor cinema with popcorn! The kids LOVED it. Earth Day is April 22nd. Go plant something!!
